What is “Hired in Plant Insurance”?

Hired in Plant Insurance is an insurance that covers you for hiring in plant equipment e.g. a scissor lift, if you wish to take a policy out for this you would need to speak to your insurance company. Otherwise, facelift offer a collision damage waiver for all hires.

How long does the battery last for on an electric machine?

You should get a full day's use from an electric scissor lift or self propelled boom. Generally though, you will get around 2-3 hours of continuous use, however this is prolonged by charging on breaks and turning the equipment off once in position. We run full IPAF training courses daily and recommend you attend one of our courses to ensure you are using our equipment safely and efficiently.

Do you offer Training?

We offer full IPAF, PASMA, CPC, Ladder, Asbestos Awareness, Harness Inspection and First Aid training courses. We can provide training at your site (subject to conditions/site requirements), or at one of our many depots across the country. To find out more about our training courses, please click here.

What is the earliest time you deliver?

If you need a scissor lift or self propelled boom delivered at a certain time, our drivers are always happy to work around you and make sure you have your machine when you need it. We deliver early mornings, evenings and at weekends.

Do you work weekends?

We work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing us to provide you with whatever you need, whenever you need it. Just give us a call and our 24 hour line will answer.

When giving operated quotes, does that include the machine as well?

When we provide an operated quote we incorporate the machine and operator into that quote, and we will give the final price to you so there are no nasty surprises at the end of the hire.

What is outreach?

Outreach is the horizontal distance that a self propelled boom or truck mount can reach across, and is measured from the centre of the machine, usually in metres.

Do you do half day hires?

Most of our hires are a minimum of 1 day, however as a company we will always do our best to accommodate to your needs, to provide the best service at a competitive rate.

Does your operator bring safety harnesses?

Our experienced and professional operators always carry two spare harnesses to ensure your health and safety while working with our machines; allowing you and your staff to carry out their work in an effective manner.
