Cleaning contractors at GlaxoSmithKline?s global headquarters building in Brentford called on hire firm Facelift to solve internal access problems. The firm had to clean a five storey atrium but only had access through standard doorways. In addition the machinery had to work on low load-bearing York stone flooring. Facelift supplied a 29m Spider TS29 and 22m Denka DL22N for the contract. Both machines were taken into the building through standard doorways and were light enough, at 3,100kg and 2,400kg respectively, to work on the flooring material. Driven wheels meant the platforms could be positioned with ease.
