UK rental company, Facelift Access Hire, recently supplied two of its Bronto truck mounted platforms to decorate a 33 metre Giant Redwood tree with Christmas lights at Wakehurst Place, West Sussex.
The 62 metre and 44 metre platforms from the company?s Operated High Reach range, offering outreaches of 37 metres and 29 metres respectively, enabled electrical contractors to access the entire height and breadth of the tree, making as little contact as possible to prevent any damage.
Facelift was called in after attempts to rig the 1800 lights by abseiling down the tree were halted when ropes and cables became tangled with the branches of the 100 year old Redwood.
