Working with the Challenge Society

On the 27th November fifty young people flocked to Ealing to volunteer with The Challenge Society. During the day they made cards for elderly people who would be alone at Christmas. They finished up with a birds eye view flash mob on Ealing Green where, using their bodies, they spelt out positive messages about youth. Using the cherry picker provided we were able to capture some inspiring and powerful footage.
The Challenge brings young people together from diverse backgrounds and throws them in at the deep end. They take on physical, social and civic challenges that prepare them to design and deliver a project that will make a difference in their community. Along the way they learn key skills such as teamwork, leadership and communication, and are encouraged to develop trust in others, responsibility for themselves, understanding and empathy.
