What time does my IPAF training course start?

For training at our depots we generally start IPAF training courses courses at 8am, with a 7.45 registration time, however for training at customers sites this can vary.

What time does my PASMA training course start?

What time does my Ladder training course start?

What time does my Driver CPC training course start?

For training at our depots we generally start Driver CPC courses at 8am, with a 7.45 registration time, however for training at customers sites this can vary.

What time does my First Aid training course start?

For training at our depots we generally start First Aid training courses courses at 8am, with a 7.45 registration time, however for training at customers sites this can vary.

How many IPAF categories can I be trained on per day?

You will be trained on a maximum of two IPAF categories per day.

What Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should I bring with me?

At bare minimum you must have your own safety boots, however we normally request that delegates bring their own hard hat, high visibility vest/jacket, gloves and goggles too. We will provide all the harnesses free of charge for training at our depots.

How long will it be before I receive my card?

We endeavour to get your cards out within 7-14 days

What proof of training will I receive on the day of training?

An IPAF Log Book is issued on successful completion of the IPAF training course. On all other courses, we can provide written confirmation on letter headed paper to say that you passed your training course.

How long is the IPAF Full Course?

Our IPAF Full Course is a full day (approximately 8.00am until 3.30pm depending on delegates’ experience).

How long is the PASMA Tower training course?

Our PASMA Tower course’s are a full day (approximately 8.00am until 3.30pm depending on delegates’ experience).

How long is the PASMA Working at Height training course?

Our PASMA Working at Height training course is a half day (approximately 8.00am until 12.00pm depending on delegates’ experience) course.

Where can I carry out my training?

We have training centres located in Hampshire, West Sussex, Kent, Essex, Birmingham, Mersyside, & Newcastle, however we can also carry out training on customer’s sites, providing you have the correct requirements.

What do I need to provide if I wanted to do a course at my own site?

We would require a classroom that accommodates all trainees, a practical area big enough to use the machine to its full capability, a parking space for our Instructor and either the machines or the tower. If you do not have the machines available, they can be hired through our hire desk and if you require a tower our training team can assist you.

How many people can attend an IPAF course?

We can book a maximum of 4 people if you are booking a double category course or 6 people if it is a single category course.

How many people can attend a PASMA course?

We can book a maximum of 12 people on a PASMA course.

How many people can attend a Ladder Course?

We can book a maximum of 8 people on a ladder course.

Is lunch provided?

Yes, but if you have any special dietary requirements, please advise us in advance.

Can I be trained on a Saturday or Overnight?

Yes, we can do training 24/7, there is an extra supplement payable. Please give us a call to discuss further.

How long does my IPAF qualification last?

The IPAF PAL Card lasts 5 years.

How long does my PASMA Qualification last?

The PASMA Card lasts 5 years.

How long does my LA Ladder qualification last?

The LA Ladder card lasts for 5 years.

How long will my First Aid Qualification last?

Your First Aid qualification lasts 3 years.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more then 4 working days before, we won’t charge anything, however if you cancel 3 working days before the training date then we will charge 50% and if you cancel 2 or less working days we will have to charge 100% of the training cost.

Do I need to bring photographic ID?

Yes you do, we accept the standard driving licence & passport, also a CSCS card.

Do I need to bring a photo on the day?

Our instructors will take photos on the day

What does PASMA stand for?

Pre-Fabricated Access Suppliers & Manufacturers Association.

What does IPAF stand for?

International Powered Access Federation.

How can I get a copy of my IPAF card if I have lost it?

You will need to contact the training provider that you used for the training. For Facelift customers please call the training department on 0800 072 55 72. If you are unsure who you used please call IPAF on 01539 566 700.

How long does my IPAF card last for?

The IPAF will last for 5 years. However make sure to always check the expiry date before operating machinery.

How long does my PASMA card last for?

The PASMA card lasts for 5 years.

What is IPAF category 3b?

IPAF 3b is the category for mobile boom platforms or self propelled booms.

What is IPAF category 3a?

IPAF 3a is the category for mobile vertical platforms. This includes scissor lifts and mobile vertical personnel platforms.

What is IPAF Category 1b?

IPAF 1b is the category for static boom platforms. This includes truck, van, trailer and track mounted platforms.

What is IPAF category PAV?

IPAF PAV is the category for push around vertical platforms. This is a type of static vertical platform that would be pushed into position before elevating.

How long is your ladder training course?

Our Ladder Association user & inspection training course is a full day (approximately 8.00am until 3.30pm depending on delegates’ experience). The Ladder Association user only course would be a half day (approximately 8.00am until 12.00pm depending on delegates’ experience)

How long is your MEWPs for managers course?

The MEWPs for Managers course is a full day (approximately 8.00am until 3.30pm depending on delegates’ experience.)

What does MEWPs stand for?

MEWPS stands for 'Mobile Elevating Work Platforms'

Do you do an advanced IPAF training course?

We run an advanced course called PAL+. This is aimed at furthering a MEWP Operators skills.

No you don’t, we can either open a credit account (subject to credit check) or we accept all major credit and debit cards (Except American Express).
