How much weight can a cherry picker carry?

Cherry pickers have a 'safe working load' set by the manufacturer. This is how much the combined weight of the worker and tools the machine can lift up in to the air. Can you use a cherry picker on a slope?

You can use a cherry picker or scissor lift on a slope or gradient, as long as it was designed with this in mind. Look for a 'gradeability' number, it tells you how much gradient the machine can be safely operated on. How much is a cherry picker course?

Cherry picker training is accredited by IPAF – the International Powered Access Federation. You need to pass a course certified by IPAF to work with cherry pickers, and they'll issue you with a 'PAL card' which shows what sort of course you've passed and what types of access platform you can operate.
