Facelift have recently been called in to help rally the nation behind the England football team; Madame Tussauds contacted the specialist access company to help with a publicity stunt aimed at the heart of every England fan.
A Bronto 440X, from Facelift¹s operated high reach access division, with its outreach of 29m proved to be the ideal machine to enable the Taussauds staff
to reach over the pavement and to gently place the waxwork of England captain David Beckham on the vacant plinth in London¹s world famous Trafalgar Square. The model of Beckham has been a major attraction at Madame Taussards, with worried fans even placing flowers and get well cards at the
feet of the waxwork when "Golden Balls" succumbed to injury just a few weeks ago.
A spokeswoman from Madame Tussauds said "It¹s all a bit fun really. We're simply going with feeling of the country at the moment and paying tribute to
national hero."
The world¹s famous waxwork museum has also offered the waxwork to London mayor Ken Livingston, if they are stuck for a permanent resident for the plinth. A spokesman for the Greater London Authority confirmed that the empty plinth
will continued to only be used for displaying works of art in the immediate future.
