Become a #DustBuster and show your support for our health campaign
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a new campaign and inspection schedule with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers of dust, and ensuring that sites have the right measures in place to protect workers.
Visiting construction sites across Britain, HSE inspectors will be checking that businesses are doing all they can to protect workers’ lungs from asbestos, silica and wood dust. They will specifically be looking for evidence of construction workers knowing the risk, planning their work and using the right controls.
The HSE is also encouraging people across the industry to become a #DustBuster and show support for the campaign by downloading a number of signs highlighting why it is so important to ensure protection against dust and posting for a selfie. Photos can then be shared via the the #DustBuster and #WorkRight hashtags on Twitter at @H_S_E, or on Facebook via @hsegovuk and @SaferSites.
