Cherry picker does the job in Rotherham
We recently helped complete inspection works at Keppel’s Column Rotherham, using the Bronto 61m to inspect the column for wear and tear and general condition. The job was a high profile one as there were press from the local papers, police and the Mayor of Rotherham.
At 115 feet, Keppel’s Column is the tallest of the Wentworth follies, and was originally planned to be even taller and capped with a statue of Admiral Keppel, but evidently the Marquis of Rockingham ran short of funds. It was designed by John Carr, who was also responsible for the Wentworth Woodhouse stables and the family’s Irish house at Coollattin.
