Cherry picker helps catch culprits in police chase
The East Anglian Daily Press reports that it was a cherry picker to the rescue earlier this month, as two men who tried to escape police by climbing onto the roof of an industrial unit were retrieved by one of the machines as around 1,000 cannabis plants were seized from a Norwich factory
Police raided a unit at the Union Park industrial estate around 12pm after local businesses had been smelling cannabis for around two weeks.
When officers arrived, two men emerged onto the roof of the unit, but had nowhere to go. Firefighters attended and the two men were arrested as they were brought to ground in a cherry picker.
