Cherrypicker used in python rescue operation in Thailand

Working at height can be frightening enough for the uninitiated. So spare a thought for locals in Thailand who had to use a cherrypicker in order to embark on a two-hour rescue mission to try and untangle a 10ft python from a concrete pillar after it slithered up an electricity post.
The serpent had climbed the pillar in order to stalk the birds perching on cables, however locals were terrified that the snake could cause an explosion and cut power to their homes so after trying to catch the snake themselves, called in vets to help finish the job. Read the full story here:
