Facelift - 2014 round-up
As the year draws to a close, it’s time to take a look back of all the highlights from the last 12 months. Here’s our top picks:
New indoors premises at Ashford
In July, we launched a new depot in Ashford, Kent. Based on the Lympne Distribution Park, just off junction 11 of the M20, the depot also contains a large indoor training facility in response to a growing demand for good quality health and safety training such as courses from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and the Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA).
In 2014, we introduced a range of new courses, including Confined spaces, Manual handling, Abrasive Wheels, Fire Marshall and NRSWA Courses - all of which can be delivered either at our own specialist training centres or onsite.
Our training division continues to grow - we have recently employed two sales executives to help us meet the demand for our training courses. We’ve also hired five new regional account managers to help spearhead our sales drive. Our former operations director, Paul Standing, was also promoted to managing director. After beginning his career with Facelift in 1999, Paul has steadily worked his way up through the business and was instrumental in developing the company’s network of depots across the UK.
Throughout 2014, we have continued to invest in the best new kit for our customers. To date this year, we have invested in:
* 24 x 3219 Skyjacks
* 24 x 3226 Skyjacks
* 2x Manitou100 VJR’s
* 4x Niftylift HR12N’s
* 30x Niftylift HR17 4x4 lightweight models with SIOPS
* 4x Niftylift HR15N’s with SIOPS
* 2xMultitel SMX250 tracked machines
* 18x Ascendant VM125 van mounts
* 12x Ascendant 22ms
* 3x Ascendant 18ms
Safety is at the heart of all we do. We continue to be the largest independent IPAF provider in the UK, and the 4th largest IPAF provider overall. This year, we delivered training to more than 4,300 successful delegates. And in June, we hit the milestone of having trained 62,000 delegates overall.
