Facelift Flashback: Our team puts up the most important Christmas decorations in the country
Back in 2012, the Facelift team was commissioned to put up the most important Christmas tree in the country, right in the centre of Trafalgar Square.
It took the team five hours to put up the tree, which is gifted annually by the people of Norway as a token of gratitude for our support during the Second World War, a tradition which dates back to 1947.
Two operatives used the Bronto 34 to assist with putting up the tree, before decorating it with festive lights and of course, placing the all-important star on top.
At the time, Facelift’s managing director, Gordon Leicester commented: “Working on this project is a great privilege, not only because of the pleasure that this magnificent tree brings to residents and visitors to our nation’s capital, but also because of its’ historical significance.
“It was a challenging job, but one we absolutely loved doing.”
