Facelift on the up as it appoints new chairman and moves toward franchising
It was announced last month that Facelift has appointed industry heavy-weight Nigel Hunton as our non-executive chairman
It is expected that Hunton - currently chief executive of MBA Polymers - will help steer the business during the next phase of its growth; overseas expansion and franchising.
It is anticipated that in the UK, franchisees would penetrate the parts of the market not already covered by the existing Facelift network, supplying mainly smaller machines, while larger machines would remain the domain of the existing Facelift network. The franchising model and brand will then also be rolled out to other English-speaking countries, such as Australia and New Zealand.
Discussing the development plans, Gordon Leicester, chief executive of Facelift, said: “Access hire is essentially a service industry, and we’re confident that with the right training, our franchisees will soon be running businesses that suit us, them, and above all, the customer.
“Nigel Hunton is a heavyweight in industry, and has precisely the right experience to help steer the business during this next phase in its development. We’re confident that our brand is just going to get bigger and better this year.”
Hunton, who was previously the chief executive of Edwards, a $1billion revenue global company, providing vacuum and abatement solutions added: “This business has 30 years of history and an excellent reputation due to putting customer service and safety at the heart of the business. Franchising and tapping into the overseas market is the perfect way to expand this already hugely successful brand.
“We already have most of the infrastructure in place to make this franchising model happen, and it could be up-and-running before the end of 2014. There are definitely exciting times ahead.”
