Facelift purchase two hot-of-the-press Genie SX™-180
Never ones to miss an opportunity, Facelift purchased two Genie SX™-180 self propelled telescopic boom lifts – newly released at the Bauma Show.
The Genie SX-180 is the largest boom lift of its kind in the world, and has a vertical reach of 54.9m and a horizontal reach of 24.4m. The 2.44 m by 0.91 m platform has an unrestricted capacity of 340 kg. The 3.05 m, 180 degree, rotating jib positions workers and gear exactly where they are needed.
Designed to be driven at full height, travel speeds can vary depending on boom position and range from 4.02 km/h with the boom in the stowed position, 0.65 km/h below 38.1 m and 0.17 km/hr above 38.1 m.
The X-chassis extends and retracts to provide stability on the job and a narrow profile for transport, while a stowed length of 12.98 metres means the 24,494 kg machine can be easily transported on a truck. Similarly, the rotating jib offers a robust slew bearing and worm drive arrangement.
Designed to make maintaining the machine as easy as possible, the Genie SX-180 provides easy access to important systems and components, while a 50 gallon fuel tank and 7.5 kw generator come as standard. It is suitable for use within the oil and gas industries, commercial construction, industrial construction and maintenance and general maintenance.
Gordon Leicester, Managing Director of Facelift commented: “We’re committed to investing in the most innovative equipment on the market for our customers, and this piece of kit is literally hot of the press.
“Its high spec, has multiple applications and is easy to use. We’re confident they’re going to be a big hit with our ‘customers.”
