Five minutes with... Russell Walker Facelift Regional Manager
So, Russell, how long have you been with Facelift and what is your role?
“I have been with facelift for two years, I started as a depot manager but I have recently been promoted to a regional manager looking after Purfleet,Hickstead and Ashford, which I am sure will bring its challenges but I am looking forward to this new and exciting time.
How did you get into the plant hire business?
I worked for Kier Plant and Galliford Try and was also plant manager on the Olympic 2012 project. I also obtained the appointed person accreditation for working on cranes. Since joining Facelift, I put two years hard work into Purfleet depot and I am very happy where it is today as to where it was when I took it over. I have just been rewarded with the promotion which I am very happy about
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I just love working for Facelift. I get on very well with the whole team I enjoy the working ethos and the culture. I think we have a great MD in Paul standing and a very good chairman in Nigel, them coupled with a very strong senior management team means a bright future for Facelift, I am sure.
What do you see as the challenges and opportunities for the industry in the future?
The challenge is for Facelift to become the number one provider and I really believe this can and will happen.
What's been the most enjoyable / satisfying job you've completed?
Every job we complete is very satisfying I have recently acquired the contract for cleaning the B&Q network in the UK so I am very happy with that.
