IPAF staff take the PAL + challenge

IPAF staff take the PAL + challenge

IPAF staff took the PAL + challenge last month, as Susan Foster, IPAF training operations coordinator, and Lynn Price, IPAF audit and QC manager, were the first members of the IPAF staff to successfully complete the PAL+ advanced operator course, at Facelift’s indoor facility in Liverpool. The course was led by IPAF certified instructor Gary Phillipson.

PAL+ is an optional, additional one day of category-specific training aimed at operators working in higher risk or challenging environments, and as Susan and Lynn realised, is no easy feat.

Discussing the rigours of the course, Susan Foster said:  “It was hard work and the PAL+ course makes you aware of everything an advanced operator has to be able to do.”

“The PAL+ course is quite a challenge for office-based employees who do not operate equipment on a daily basis,” added Lynn Price. “But it was a very worthwhile educational experience and we learnt a lot.”
