IPAF turns 30
IPAF is currently celebrating its 30th year of helping keep our industry safer.
Launched in 1984, its founding members had one main aim: to promote the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide.
IPAF members reaffirmed the Federation’s original objectives and re-adopted them into the Federation’s rules at the recent annual general meeting in April. Among others, IPAF’s objectives are to “encourage the highest standards of safety and good trading by members” and “encourage technical efficiency in the industry by cooperation in the establishment of standards”
“IPAF’s members cooperate to protect the safety of people in the access industry,” said IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman. “By re-adopting the founding principles, IPAF members make very clear what IPAF stands for and what it sets out to do and deliver. I call on anybody attending or visiting APEX who is not an IPAF member to sign up during the show – be part of the movement to keep our industry safe!”
