New sails for Brixton Windmill

Brixton Windmill, celebrating 200 years and National Mills Weekend, got new sailcloths Saturday 14th May. They were designed and printed by local design company Eley Kishimoto, creative ambassador for Brixton Windmill’s bicentenary year and part of the Brixton Design Trail team.
Millwright Paul Selwood used our Ascendant 22 truck mounted cherry picker to fix the cloths. Apart from a quarter-turn in a sudden gust, the wind had not been strong enough to turn the sails by around midday.
Full tours of the Windmill were sold out!
