Straddling the ladder

Straddling the ladder

18 December 2015 Email this article

Spotted in San Diego, California, a man quietly working on a window in the autumn sun, while straddling his step ladder.

The scene is quite pastoral and reminiscent of a painter in the south of France. He is of course at risk of the ladder tipping sideways and dumping him on his back and from a height of around two metres and his apparent weight he could well sustain a serious injury.

It is an example of incorrect use of a step ladder, if this was an employee then his supervisor ought to stop him, but he looks like he is the home owner of an artisan and it’s probably his ladder and his building.

It is though a nice tranquil picture to end the week, Have a safe weekend and if you are using a step ladder don’t use it like this.
