Survey success using access equipment

Facelift recently worked with Interroute Traffic Operations to assist in the trial use of access equipment to enable safe and accurate measurement of the company's loose stockpiles (particularly road salt.)
Previously surveyors had to rely on line of sight to gauge the quantity remaining but this didn't provide accurate results and was known to be a difficult job. However, success was achieved when a bespoke bracket was attached onto the cage of facelift's 17m Ascendant into which a laser camera was mounted. This was then elevated above the salt which provided a birds eye view and trouble free calculation of the remaining piles.
