Facelift trains 60,000th candidate
Facelift hit a milestone last week, as we delivered training to our 60,000th candidate – meaning we’ve now trained the equivalent of a packed crowd at the Emirates!
Our 60.000th candidate was Nicholas Peebles, who attended and passed an IPAF 1b Static Boom training course conducted by Percy Alexander at Hickstead on 12-June-14. He is employed by Knepp Castle Estate in West Grinstead, West Sussex and was accompanied by three of his work colleagues, John, Tom and Sam.
Nicholas was only made aware that he had won the award during the latter part of the day when he was having lunch and he very surprised and delighted to learn that he was the 60,000th training candidate and would be receiving an award to commemorate this event.
This is the latest instalment in a long relationship between IPAF and Facelift. We first joined IPAF in 1988, making us one of the longest standing members. We became a training centre in September 1995. Since then, we’ve conducted training everywhere from oil rigs off the Scottish isles to navy ships docked at Southampton.
The 60,000 figure includes a variety of training courses, including IPAF, PASMA and ladder training.
