Step change for Facelift customers: Ladder Exchange a big success
Faulty ladders are a fast-track to unnecessary injuries and even deaths among workers, so here at Facelift we're doing our bit to get them out of circulation by taking part in the Ladder Association's annual amnesty – the Ladder Exchange.
For the past month, we've been taking part in the initiative, which aims to promote safe working at height by providing an incentive for trading in old, unsafe ladders for new ones.
How it works is simple. Until the 30th December, we'll be offering our customers a discount off the purchase price of a new, safe ladder, when they bring in an old, damaged or faulty ladder.
It's not just about having the right equipment though, it's about having the skills and knowledge you need to use it properly, small wonder then, that the theme for the Ladder Exchange for this month is 'training'.
At Facelift, we think good quality and regular training should be at the heart of any business, so if you think you or your staff could do with their skills refreshing, just speak to one of our instructors at your local Facelift Training Centre about any requirements you might have for IPAF, PASMA or Ladder training when you come in to exchange your ladder.
And if you're not sure if your ladder is beyond help? Take a look at the Ladder Association's 'Is My Ladder Dodgy?' page, which should help you decide. If in doubt, trade it!
